What is paratriking?

Similar to paragliding, paratriking is done with a parasail. But instead of being dependent solely on the wind, paratriking depends on a motor.

Where to go paratriking in Lima?

I experienced this with Aeroxtreme Paragliding/Paratriking. Paratriking in Lima was an amazing experience. If you book the first session of the day, you can meet them at their headquarters in Miraflores and drive with them to the location where the paratrike will take off. When you get to the take off location, the staff will setup the paratrike. While your waiting, you can enjoy the beautiful view of the ocean & cliffs and take photos.

When it was my turn to paratrike, I wasn’t nervous because I was the last of my group of four to go. All three of them told me how beautiful and relaxing it was, so I was more excited than nervous. The take off was pretty bumpy, but once we were in the air it was smooth sailing. We immediately went over the ocean and the feeling of tranquility came on. About five minutes in, the pilot told me to look to my left and pointed out a couple of Nazca lines. Then he did a few tricks in the sky, which felt like I was in a swing, swinging sideways. Then we headed back to the takeoff location. The whole experience was about 12 minutes, and completely worth it.

Paratriking in Lima was definitely an amazing experience and I highly recommend it if you’re looking for some adventure.
