Going on a cruise is amazing. It’s a great way to travel to either one destination or multiple destinations in one trip. Also on cruises, you’re enjoying your time while sailing to your destination because the ships have so many things to do.
Depending on the cruise ship and destination, you will only have a certain amount of hours to enjoy your destination. Depending on the type of traveler you are, this can be positive or negative.
Types of travelers on cruises
It’s good to know what type of traveler you are. There are different types of travelers on cruises;
- The people that stay on the boat. They love being on the ocean and booked the cruise specifically for that.
- The people that love relaxing. They love getting to a destination and finding a beach or hammock to spend their time.
- The people who love finding bars at the destination and spending most of their time there.
- The people who get to the destination and want to try different food. They spend most of their time restaurant hopping.
- The people who love spending their time doing activities. They usually book excursions through the cruise ship company or directly from a company at the destination.
- The people who love to spend their time doing as much as they can once reaching their destination. They want to do an activity, take a tour, relax and try different food/drinks.
Travelers who want to do it all
For the people who love doing as much as they can at a destination, it can be a lot but very successful if well-planned. I’m this type of traveler. I love doing as much as I can at any destination I go to.
I research every destination and create an itinerary. If the destination has a lot to explore, from adventures, museums, restaurants, and unique things to do, then the itinerary will help me manage my time. I may book an activity/tour through the cruise ship, but only if that activity/tour doesn’t take over most of my time at the destination.
