Ferries
San Pedro Belize Express Water Taxi provides easy and quick access to and from Belize City, San Pedro, Caye Caulker and Chetumal. Belize City, San Pedro and Caye Caulker are located in Belize. Chetumal is located in Mexico. In oder to take a ferry, you have to book your tickets online in advance. You can book one way trips and round-trips.

Golf Carts
Golf carts are a very convenient way to get around islands like San Pedro and Caye Caulker. There are a variety of golf cart places to rent from. I didn’t even have to look for one because immediately after getting off of the ferry from Belize City to San Pedro, I was approached by someone asking if I needed a golf cart. I decided to rent a golf cart from him for three days and it was one of the best decisions I made. All I needed to do was show my drivers license, pay for the golf cart and sign paperwork. I’ve never drove a golf cart before, so the guy I rented it from showed me how to operate it.

Planes
There are two airlines that has flights around Belize and they are Maya Island Air and Tropic Air. If you want to fly with either of these airlines, you have to book your flight online in advance. They both also provide tours to the Great Blue Hole.

Taxis
Taxis are very convient and easy to get. The taxi drivers only accept cash in either BZD or USD. BZD is twice as much as USD, which makes it really easy to convert. For instance if a taxi ride is 20 BZD then it will be 10 USD.
Just a heads up, there are no Lyft and Uber in Belize.
