Dublin City Center is the vibrant core of Ireland’s capital. This area offers historic landmarks, a huge variety and diversity of food and drinks, shopping and live music. Down every street there’s something that brings this area to life, which makes it a popular place to explore.
Gaiety Theatre
Gaiety Theatre is Dublin’s longest established theater. For many years, this theater has given people a variety of shows from musicals, comedy, dance, opera, concerts, festivals, and more. One popular show is Riverdance, a show with amazing lights, colors, Irish dancing and singing.

Iveagh Garden
Iveagh Garden is a cute garden and public park steps away from the National Concert Hall and St. Stephen’s Green Bandstand. Even though Iveagh Gardens is one of Dublin’s least known parks, it’s a great spot for relaxing and avoiding crowds. When I went, it was very calm, and quiet.
The garden has statues, cascading fountains, plenty of benches to sit on, and a small maze called Yew Maze. Yew Maze is more for fun than a challenge, but was pretty cool. It took me about ninety seconds to make my way through the maze.

O’Connell Street
O’Connell Street is one of Dublin’s most popular streets. It runs north of the River Liffey and is the widest street in Dublin. Several buses run up and down it a day, making it convenient to get to. Check out the monuments and sculptures, and grab something to eat.

River Liffey Cruise
The River Liffey is a river that flows through the center of Dublin. Separating Dublin City Center into the North side and South side. There are many tour companies that offer scenic cruises down the River Liffey. Check out some below.

Shop & Eat
There are so many restaurants, cafes, clothing stores, and souvenir shops to check out in Dublin City Center. One thing that I loved was the variety of vegan restaurants there were, from food, pastries, and icecream… yummy. There’s a great gift shop called Carroll’s Irish Gifts, with multiple locations in Dublin. They sell everything from mugs, magnets, clothes, keychains, jewelry, chocolates, snacks, drinks, and more.

St Stephen’s Green
St. Stephen’s Greens is known as one of Dublin’s most popular public park. There are a variety of things to do and see, from the Fusilier’s Arch, lake, waterfall, children’s playground and sculptures. It’s a large park and great for a relaxing day.
