Cobh is a picturesque town located in Cork city harbor. It’s known for It’s colorful buildings and rich maritime history. It was also the last port of call for the RMS Titanic.
There are trains and buses that goes to Cork City. Irish Rail is a popular company that provides trains to and from most cities in The Republic of Ireland. The Irish Rail is about a 3 1/2 hour train ride from Dublin City Center to Cobh with a train transfer in Cork City. Aircoach and Citylink goes from Dublin City Center to Cork City but not to Cobh. So you can catch a train or taxi from Cork City to Cobh. The bus rides are about a 3 hour drive

Deck of Cards Houses
The Deck of Cards Houses are a row of houses located side my side on a hill. The cool thing about these houses are the beautiful colors. From bright to pastel, it’s an amazing site to see. Walking up this hill is no joke though, I didn’t expect it to be as long as it was.

RMS Lithuania Memorial Cobh
The RMS Lithuania Memorial is a memorial that commemorates all of the lives that were lost in the sinking RMS Lithuania ship in 1915.

Spike Island
Spike Island is a small island located in the scenic Cork Harbour. It served as a military fortress and a prison that housed thousands of inmates for many years. Now it serves as a tourist attraction. Tourist can explore the historical sites, the prison cells, military barracks, two incredible walking trails, and see the beautiful view of the harbour.
Getting to Spike Island is about a fifteen minute ferry ride from Kennedy Pier in Cobh. When you buy your Spike Island ticket, whether online or at Kennedy Pier, the round trip ferry ride is included. Each ticket allows 3 1/2 hours of access to Spike Island. If you miss the ferry from Spike Island, you may have to wait hours to get on another ferry.

St. Colman’s Cathedral, Cobh
The St. Colman’s Cathedral is a Roman Catholic Cathedral that overlooks Cork Harbour. There is no admission fee to enter the Cathedral and they offer tours. If you want a tour of the Cathedral, you have to contact the parish office to make arrangements.

The Rock House
The Rock House is a charming historic building overlooking the harbour. It’s located under the St. Colman’s Catedral and a short walk from the Deck of Cards Houses.

Titanic Experience Cobh
Cobh was the last port of call for the RMS Titanic. The Titanic Experience offers guided tours throughout the day, which are about 1 hour. The guided tours will take you on a journey back in time with knowledgeable guides and immersive audio visual displays.
