The Most Memorable Vacation: Cusco

Describe your most memorable vacation.

I went to Peru two years ago and it was an amazing experience. The ultimate goal of the trip was to complete the 4 day/3 night Inca Trail hike to Machu Picchu. My friends and I did a couple of hikes before the day of the Inca Trail hike so we can get used to the altitude.

Now the hike wasn’t easy but the determination and strength I found within myself to complete it, is something I will always remember. There were times on day 1 that I started to second think me being able to complete it. But I didn’t give up and was able to celebrate at the end. Sleeping in a hanging pod at Starlodge Adventure Suite was also very memorable. We had to climb up a lot of stairs, and go over a swinging bridge to get to our pods. For more on my experience at Starlodge Adventure Suites, click Starlodge Adventure Suites.

Another memorable part is the new bonds I built with my friends during this trip. This trip was the first trip we took that were mostly focused on hiking, and adventure. Also, this was the largest group trip I’ve planned (it was nine of us), and we all got along very well. I think that was one thing that stood out that there was no drama, and everyone enjoyed themselves.

When we weren’t on a adventure, or strolling Cusco, we were in the Airbnb eating, watching movies, listening to music and joking around. We also spoke alot about the adventures we went on that day. As well as what we were going to be doing the next day. Everyone was also great at being punctual for tours and outings. I just loved the vibe and dynamic of the group.
