It’s story time again! This is Episode 7 of “So That Happened”
I traveled solo to Isla de Flores in Guatemala straight from Belize City by bus. With the ultimate goal of exploring Tikal National Park. But after arriving to Flores Island in the evening, I felt an uncomfortable pit in my stomach. The sun was setting, the night was spreading through the sky, and I had to walk to my Airbnb… alone.
I did a combo trip of Belize and Guatemala. It was something I wanted to do for years, so I finally created the itinerary, and set a date for the trip. It was a last minute trip, so I decided to go alone. I spent about 5 days in Belize, hopping from different islands and then boarded a bus to Isla de Flores, Guatemala.
