When I first started traveling, “travel” to me mostly meant using my passport, strolling through an airport, boarding a plane, and going on a vacation. Anything that allowed me to leave NYC, was traveling to me.
But now when I think of “travel” it means so much more. Travel is freedom. To me it means learning, immersion, connections, growing, overcoming challenges, bucketlist, hidden gems, exploration, different cultures and cuisines.
I’ve learned so much from traveling. Traveling taught me that there’s no one way to live. I learned to understand how different people live, love, and connect with eachother. I’ve even learned a lot about myself through traveling. I’ve learned to adapt seamlessly, how to travel solo and be comfortable completely depending on myself, and how to find solutions quickly because traveling is very unpredictable.
With traveling comes challenges, and hiccups, and through those are where I have unforgettable memories. To check out some of those memories click on So That Happened Travel Story Series.
